Stanley Eric Brown is my dad,he passed away on the 6th july 1994,dad fought illness for a long time and never complained,he lived his life to the full,he was the kindest,warmest,nicest man i have ever known and it was a privelage to be his daughter,dad was in the army for many years his regiment was the Royal Scots,he had a large family 13 kids,two of whom have now joined him in heaven,(Stanley Eric Brown junior,and Ina Patterson,) dad done a lot of charity work for his community untill ill health stopped him from doing so,he would help anyone out if he could,i love dad so much and miss him more with each passing second,i think a big part of me went with dad and nothing has been the same,it's something i dont think i will ever come to terms with not having my dad here to speak to or to listen when i have troubles,he is always in my mind and forever in my heart,i know we will meet again dad of that i am sure,i miss you so much it really does hurt,you will always be loved dad forever.

My Dad Is My Hero
This world has many heroes,
you'd know most of them by name.
It's apparent that they gave their best,
and they deserve their fame.
But among all of the hero's,
this world has ever had,
There's not one that I admire more,
than my precious dad.
He's more than just a hero,
he never looks for praise.
He's heroic in his quiet strength,
and in his caring ways.
He may not be as famous,
as those you hear about or see.
But he's everything and so much more,
a hero ought to be.
He keeps his word, it's good as gold,
on this you can depend.
He's honest and he's loyal too,
I'm proud that he's my friend.
When I hear about a hero,
and the special things they've done,
It reminds me of my father,
for he is the greatest....of all
Many days have passed now
Since I left your world behind
From so far away I watch you
As you hold me dear inside.
I know how much you miss me
Because I miss you in return
Although you know Iβm happy
In your eyes the tears still burn.

Only a dad with a tired face,
Coming home from the daily race,
Bringing little of gold or fame
To show how well he has played the game;
But glad in his heart that his own rejoice
